SPECIAL OLYMPICS GA - AUGUSTA STARS
Currently we are bowling for the Summer (630PM on Mondays in June and July at Lucky Strike off Washington Road.) We are looking to start practices for the Fall Games the last week of July and or the first week of August. Sports offered are Cycling and Bocce. Additionally, we will attempt to field golf (and/or skills) and Softball (traditional or unified). No promises. Kayaking starts in July. WHO ARE THE AUGUSTA STARS?

Created in 1995

Majority of athletes are age 22 or older, but our youth program is growing

There is no maximum age limitation for participation in Special Olympics; The minimum age requirement for participation in Special Olympics Georgia competition is 8 years of age

Currently we have over 100 athletes and 30 assistant coaches/unified partners

Compete year round

Approximately 85% of our registered athletes compete in at least one state competition per year

Our Story
The Augusta Stars were established in 1995 and this year marks the 30th year with over 50 athletes consistantly training and competing year-round. Additionally, the Augusta Stars touches another 50 athletes who participate when they can.
