WHO ARE THE AUGUSTA STARS?

Created in 1995

Majority of athletes are age 22 or older, but our youth program is growing

There is no maximum age limitation for participation in Special Olympics; The minimum age requirement for participation in Special Olympics Georgia competition is 8 years of age

Currently we have over 100 athletes and 30 assistant coaches/unified partners

Compete year round

Approximately 85% of our registered athletes compete in at least one state competition per year

Our Story
Kevin Enright established the Augusta Stars in 1995. This year marks the 30th year that the Augusta Stars have been in existence with over 50 athletes consistantly training and competing year-round. Additionally, the Augusta Stars touches another 50 athletes who participate when they can.
